Since geometric mobiles are trending right now, we had to make one. We tried to include aspects that babies are drawn to, such as faces, high contrast and bright colors. Here is the result! Try it by going the the freebies page on our site, download the file, print on card, and assemble. Let us know what you think!

Organic Cloud Baby Blankets
We are so excited to show our latest product at the New York International Gift Show.
The Cloud Blanket from Wee Gallery is made in traditional ‘dohar’ style originating in North India. It has a layer of printed fabric sandwiched between two unprinted layers of fine muslin, so that baby’s soft skin is untouched by printed inks. Described as ‘woven air’ and ‘wonder gossamer’, this fine and delicate cotton muslin has been loomed in India since ancient times, and was once exclusive to royalty! It is said that the Emperor was displeased by the trasnparency of the new sari worn by his daughter, even though she was wrapped in six layers of the finest muslin!
To win one of these lovelies, leave a comment on this post, and when we get back we will pick a winner. Thanks for playing!

Last Minute Easter Download
We are making Easter bunnies this Saturday. I know, last minute, but that has somehow become our way! I thought we'd share anyway, so if you'd like to print out these bunny hug cards, and either attach them to a lollipop, or to a popsicle stick for a little puppet, click on the black and white bunny picture at the bottom of this post, print on card, and cut out.

Tibetan Tiger Rugs
Great new rugs by Elizabeth led me to this fascinating back story.
"Tiger skins have always figured prominently in Buddhist paintings and sculpture. It is said that the tiger skin brings luxuries suitable for a king, creates anger, and keeps the aspirant away from snakes, scorpions and other insects. It protects the Yogin from obstacles and environmental disasters. Only those in power and authority own and use tiger rugs, i.e. those who make laws, sit in judgment and mete out punishment. It was probably not until the 19th Century when tiger pelts imported from India became scarce and extremely expensive that the rug became a reasonable long-lasting substitute. They are very rare – less than 200 of the authentic pieces have survived."
