Collaborative Art Project for Fundraiser
This year I volunteered to come up with an art project for my daughter's Second Grade class that will be bid on at our school annual fundraiser auction. Each of the kids carefully and meticulously made a flower of felt circles (squeezing in a lesson in geometry :)) starting with the littlest circle and ending with the biggest. They loved working with the Fabric Scissors, and their favorite part was choosing the Next Color. Each flower ended up being special and beautiful. I then sewed their names on a leaf, and attached it to their flower. Then I sewed 18 flowers onto a lovely cream velvet pillow cover from Ikea to make a soft and cosy garden of little flowers. I think it turned out beautiful!!

Natural Baby Company
At the end of February I went to Bozeman, Montana to visit a very special little friend.
While we were there, we went to the Natural Baby Company, where I had the pleasure of meeting the lovely ladies there, as well as taking a look around their beautiful store. The sweet play area under the stairs was the cutest! All of you in Bozeman, Montana are lucky to have this wonderful store as your go-to baby resource.

Imagining a white christmas
Yesterday's Holiday craft was to make ornaments, and my daughter decided to imagine herself in a snowglobe. She painted a wooden doll, and pasted it to a sheet of felt which we pasted to the bottom of the clear ball (plastic ball ornaments available at Michaels). We snipped a bit of the Christmas tree and added that in. Painted snow on the outside - isn't it pretty!?
Check out these really cool ball ornaments made by Pink and Green Mama.

ABC Kids 2012
Last week we attended ABC kids in Louisville, KY. We took our kids out of school for a week, and went as a family. The drive there was absolutely gorgeous, and we drooled over the fall colours, which we never get to see living in Florida. Louisville was really cute, we loved it! Our kids were 'at work' the whole week, and were amazing little booth helpers. They helped decorate the booth, gave out freebies, and did product demonstrations. It was a full and fun week, and we are happy to be home.

Wee House of Cards
If you have some Wee Gallery Cards at home, and your baby is a toddler, it might be time to convert them into some Wee building cards. Inspired by the classic Eames House of Cards, these are a version for younger children, as they are made from sturdier card.

Halloween Download - Spooky Owl Shade
Spice up your Halloween decor with this sweet download. Click on the black and white picture (the middle one), download and print, cut out the owl and moon, and stick it to the inside of your lamp shade (I used double sided tape). When the lamp is on, Mr Owl will show up, and he will disappear when the light is off. Spooooky!

DIY Pyramid Mobile
Since geometric mobiles are trending right now, we had to make one. We tried to include aspects that babies are drawn to, such as faces, high contrast and bright colors. Here is the result! Try it by going the the freebies page on our site, download the file, print on card, and assemble. Let us know what you think!
