Ballerina Tops
We've been having fun in ballerina class lately. I ordered five unpainted wooden tops from urbanturn.etsy.com, and we painted them to look like ballerinas, and added little matchstick arms to complete her. Now waiting for the boys to come home and put their spin on the three that are left!

Mother's Day Coloring Page
On my most recent trip to India I found some amazing coloring books featuring Madhubani Art. The drawings are probably too detailed for small children to enjoy so I thought I'd create a less complicated version for mothers out there to download. Click on the picture and print.

Camping in Florida looks like this
We went camping on an island for the weekend with 5 other families, at Cayo Costa. Being on an island means that the kids run free without adults stressing about traffic, getting kidnapped etc. That's the good part. The bad part is there's no place to run from the bugs! Oh no!

Wee Wonderfuls
One fateful day about 6 years ago I googled 'wee gallery', and instead of finding my own little shop, I came across Hilary Lang's amazing blog Wee Wonderfuls. A week later I went out and bought a sewing machine, and that was the start of a big adventure in sewing and love affair with thrifting. I still follow her blog, and am excited to see that she has a book on the way. You can pre-order it here.

Gift Tags
Gift tags have been on my to-do list for a long time. But I've always wanted something that stands out, and also has a life that's a little more than just a tag. So here's what I came up with, a tag that can also be used as a pendant, ornament... any other ideas? What do you think?

I'm back!
What a trip! Have a lot to catch up on. Firstly I have to announce the winning comment on the vintage post - it's Kanika Bahl! Please email me your address at surya@weegallery.com so I can send you a little something in the mail. Today is also my sweet son's birthday, he's eight, my eighth year of being a mother. Can hardly believe it! So it's off to baking and party prep for me, and I will see you here again in the next few days...
